VIOFOR JPS In The Millenium
WE HAVE ENTERED THE new millennium with a year and a half's worth of experience with the apparatus for magnetostimulation - the Viofor JPS. I would like to present to you the evaluation of Viofor based on survey of its users. My team of researchers has analysed over 3000 questionnaires so far.
What is the outcome? Viofor JPS is more often used by women - over 55% of all users.
As for the age of the surveyed, 80% of the whole group were people between 25 - 65 years of age. I think that this particular age range is due to the determination of professionally active patients to regain full physical and mental ability. People over 65 constituted several percent, and the smallest group were patients under 25 years of age.
When analysing patients in regards to their ailments, it was shown that the largest group i.e. 80% of all patients, represented diseases of motor system. Half of the patients from this group used magnetostimulation due to spondylosis, and 25% due to extremity arthrosis. All the patients stressed the positive and prolonged analgesic effect of magentostimulation.
Every 10th patient used Viofor JPS due to bone fracture or injury.
Unfortunately, within the group representing motor system diseases, only a few patients, namely 3%, used magnetostimulation due to osteoporosis. When considering the latest data, it seems that this group should be larger, since it has been stated that variable magnetic fields positively effect osteoporosis treatment through stoppage of osteoclastic processes, increase in bone mineralisation and analgesic effect.
In western countries, over 50% of patients treated for osteoporosis are exposed to magnetotherapy . I hope that this fact will influence the increase of magnetostimulation usage in osteoporosis treatment in Poland , for both prophylactics and therapy.
Additionally, as I see it, only every 20th patient was treated for ankylosing spondylitis or rheumatoid arthritis, which represents too low a number when compared to possibilities of magnetostimulation effect in regard to these diseases.
Almost 10% of patients acknowledge the usage of Viofor JPS for nervous system diseases. The largest group uses magnetostimulation for headaches. Viofor JPS is an excellent remedy for headaches; however, I would like to stress, that a patient should always seek medical consultation in order to treat such an ailment. Magnetostimulation with the use of Viofor JPS is especially effective in treatment of migraines.
According to our questionnaires, only the small group of patients used magnetostimulation as an additional treatment for paralysis and paresis due to cerebral stroke and circumferential, non-neoplastic damages of nervous system. Since magnetostimulation not only reduces spasticity, but also improves muscle motorics and positively influences the patient's well being, it should be widely used in treatment of these diseases.
According to our questionnaires, magnetostimulation with the use of Viofor JPS has also become more popular among patients with neuroses and sympathicotonia. The toning effect of magnetostimulation is especially positive in such cases and can be used also by physically fit people who are overworked and overstressed.
After having analyzed questionnaires regarding the effect of MRS 2000 (the original equipment) and Viofor JPS, it can be stated that a temporary pain intensification after exposure to magnetic fields generated by Viofor JPS is almost four times rarer than after usage of MRS 2000.
Only every 50th patient complained of pain intensification after magnetostimulation with the use of Viofor JPS. Every fourth patient felt a pleasant warmth, and every fifth felt a tingling sensation. It especially affected patients suffering from diseases of central nervous system. Every 20th patient claimed that magnetostimulation with the use of Viofor JPS caused a feeling of relaxation, whereas every 100th patient indicated cramps in lower limbs.
Based on over 3000 questionnaires, it can be concluded that magnetostimulation with the use of Viofor JPS is now being successfully used in prophylactic and medical treatment. There are, however, areas where it could be used to a much larger extent.
